Wookin’ Puh Nub (Love) in Aww Dah Wrong Pwaces… (The Bachelor Finale Spoilers)

Ok, got it? Funny, funny yes? 

Sonoma winemaker Ben Flajnik’s season of ABC’s hit show, “The Bachelor” concludes tonight. And you guessed it, my blog for “The Voice” will be late again this week. The sad thing is, I already know what happens on the finale and the “After the Rose” special that will air BUT I still cannot turn away. Mr. Flajnik supposedly went on this show to promote his wine (he even received a gold medal for one at the latest SF Chronicle competition) but really who knows at this point. At the end of the day I would like to think that he and the entire female cast were simply just, “Looking for Love in All the Wrong Places.”

In all of the 16 seasons of “The Bachelor” and 7 seasons of “The Bachelorette,” only one couple has made it to wedded bliss. Those aren’t great odds folks! However, this crazy past season might just end up solidifying another happily ever after couple. Why do I say this? Check out their happenings in February:

-February 7th: Boy dumps girls he proposed to in November (back when they were filming, the chosen was Courtney Robinson)

-February 14th: Girl doesn’t even get carnations from boy on Valentine’s Day! She also returns free Neil Lane engagement ring to producers after they learned the couple had split.

-February 24th: Girl and boy get back together around this time, life is good?

-February 29th: Around this time boy is seen lip locking 3 different women in the tabloids, girl is photographed trying on wedding gowns.

Fast forward to March 4th, when “After the Rose” taped, at the end of the episode, boy goes down on one knee to propose again with a new ring.

Wow, what a February, if a couple could last through all that nonsense, they are meant to be. Now tune in tonight to see if all these spoilers were correct!

This morning while checking out the station’s Tumblr site: http://kfeestaffmusings.tumblr.com, I saw a posting from someone that I follow (her name is “chels” she is smart and funny and cute). She posted a tweet from Dr. Jill Biden and it was TEH AWESOME. There are SO MANY social networking options lately and I just can’t use them all. My choice few are Facebook (though if you’ve been listening in, I’ve been “temporarily locked out” for about 2 months now, message me on the station website if you’d like the sordid details), Tumblr, and our very own awesome website www.KFEE.net. Jill Biden’s post was swiped from her Twitter account but boy am I glad that someone posted it on Tumblr, or else I would have never seen it. I would have never known that the current Vice President’s wife was so witty and current! So for those of you who are against the internet and media and free speech. This proves just why social media is important. Yes, it provides an arena for free speech and yadda yadda yadda but most importantly for me, it provides people with access. Access to information, access to comedy, access to other people, access to the world. Who can argue with that? And a shout out to Dr. Jill Biden, you are THE BEST, EVER!
